Every Standard transfer includes scene-by-scene color correction and brightness/contrast adjustments to bring your footage back to life. If your reels are already in decent shape and you're watching the budget, our Value transfer gets the job done for less.

Our video files are provided as high quality .MP4 files as standard (the most compatible format), so you can take them anywhere and load them on any device.

All our orders come with a free download and sharing link, but if you’d like to add a USB drive to your order, we can get the right size for the media you have.

The Standard transfer (55¢/ft) includes scene-by-scene color correction and brightness/contrast adjustments, so each reel looks its best.
The Value transfer (35¢/ft) is a straight as-is digitization; your film is captured in the condition it arrives, without any color grading. It's a solid option if your footage is already in decent shape and you're working with a tighter budget.
And you don't have to make that call blind.
If you choose the Value transfer and we think your footage could look significantly better with color correction, we'll reach out with a side-by-side comparison using your actual footage so you can see the difference for yourself and decide what's right for you.

Unfortunately, no.
We can only transfer film that has already been developed and processed.
If your film is still in its original cartridge and hasn't been developed yet, it will need to go to a film processing lab first. Once it's been developed and is on a reel, we can take it from there.

We transfer 8mm, Super 8, and 16mm film, the three most common home movie formats. We also handle Super 8 sound film (the kind with a magnetic audio stripe along the edge of the reel). We don't currently work with 9.5mm or 35mm.

All film transfers are output at 1440x1080, a high-definition format that captures the full detail of your original footage and plays back beautifully on modern televisions and devices.

Yes. Super 8 sound film has a narrow magnetic audio stripe running along the edge of the reel. We capture that audio during the transfer so your home movies play back with their original sound intact.

Most orders are turned around in about a week to 10 days. Larger collections may take a little longer. If you're working toward a specific date, a reunion, an anniversary, a birthday, let us know when you reach out and we'll do our best to make it work.

Pricing is 35¢/ft for a Value transfer or 55¢/ft for a Standard transfer with color correction. The most common reel size is 50 feet, which works out to $17.50–$27.50 per reel. We'll give you a free, no-obligation estimate once we know what you have, so just get in touch.

Yes. Free pickup and delivery is included for all customers in our free pick up area. No shipping, no drop-off required; we come to you.
For customers a little further away, we charge $0.50 per mile (each way) beyond the perimeter.
