About Remember Whenever
Expert Media Digitization in Fairfield County, CT
Remember Whenever is a family-owned media transfer company, headed by Paul Schneider, who brings over 14 years of hands-on experience in media digitization to every single project. What started as a passion for helping people reconnect with their memories has grown into a trusted service throughout Fairfield County and beyond. Paul understands that when you hand over those boxes of old photos, video tapes, or film reels, you're not just giving him items to scan - you're trusting him with pieces of your family's story that can't be replaced.
Since our opening in early 2025, we've built our reputation on doing things differently than the big, impersonal warehouse operations you might have seen advertised. There's no shipping your precious memories off to a distant facility where they become just another number in a queue. Instead, we come to you with free pickup and delivery throughout Fairfield County. Paul personally works on every project, ensuring your irreplaceable family moments get the careful attention they deserve, not assembly-line treatment.
What really drives everything we do is knowing what these memories mean to families. Those aren't just "old VHS tapes" - they're your kids' first steps, your parents' wedding, your grandparents telling stories that only exist on that tape. Those aren't just "photos in a box" - they're the faces of people you love, moments you'll never get back, connections to your family's history. We treat every photo, every tape, every piece of media like it's our own family's treasure, because we know that's exactly what it is to you.
Our Mission
"That was so easy."
We hear this from our customers all the time, and this reaction is what we aim for every time. Preserving your family memories shouldn't feel complicated or stressful - it should just happen, smoothly and simply, while you go about your life.
Remember Whenever exists to make it as easy as possible for people to access and protect the media that matters to them. We work with families, individuals, small businesses, and institutions to convert old formats like VHS tapes, slides, audio cassettes, film, and photos into digital files that can actually be used, backed up, and shared.
We specialize in expertly preserving projects that have a mix of different types of media, so you won't need to divide up your collection between different vendors or services. We handle it all under one roof, taking on the whole project from start to finish with consistency, care, and attention to detail.
Most family media is sitting in boxes or closets, impossible to view without old technology, and one hot summer away from being damaged beyond repair. We're here to step in before that happens and provide a local service you can trust to treat your recordings and images with care. We understand that these aren't just the sum of their parts as physical tapes or photographs. They're birthdays, weddings, images and voices of relatives long gone, and moments that only exist in those fading formats.
Our mission is to help preserve those memories before they're lost, so you can revisit them, relive them, and pass them along to generations to come.
Who’s working on my media?
Paul Schneider
OWNER / HEAD TECHNICIAN
I started working in the media transfer business in 2011, and over the past 14 years, I’ve had the pleasure of helping thousands of people bring their memories back to life and preserve them for the future.
What began as a job quickly became something I genuinely loved - there's something special about being the person who helps someone see footage they thought was gone forever, or watch their parents' wedding video for the first time in decades.
I've seen some magnificent images, film footage, and videos over the years. Incredible 16mm film from the 1950s that looks like it was shot yesterday. Home movies of grandparents who are long gone but whose voices and mannerisms come alive on screen. Wedding videos, graduations, kids' first steps, holiday celebrations - the full spectrum of life's important moments, all captured in formats that were slowly fading away in closets and basements.
I've also seen a few things I definitely wish I could forget, but that comes with the territory!
I truly love what I do, and I’m incredibly grateful for each and every customer who entrusts Remember Whenever with their priceless memories.
Thank you for letting me be part of preserving your family's story.
